The Men’s Roller Derby World Cup is proud to announce it’s being managed by its skaters! The nations that came together in March 2014 to compete for the first installment have voted to form a permanent managing body, the MRDWC Board of Directors, in which all those nations democratically decide the running of the tournament.
This organization includes not only representation from the competing nations, but also representation from the Men’s Roller Derby Association (MRDA), the international governing body of men’s roller derby, to ensure that men’s roller derby stays unified whether played by leagues or national teams. The Board of DIrectors will thus ensure that the future of this tournament is by derby nations, for derby nations.
