The next Women’s European championship of rink Hockey scheduled from September 9 to 14, will not be held on those dates.
Why?
At least 5 teams must be registered for the Women’s European championship of rink hockey to be held. Only France, Spain, Germany and Portugal have already confirmed their participation.
At the meeting of the CERH on July 20, the Committee decided to cancel the championship. However, Switzerland said that they might participate, but only in November or December.
Lluis Ferrer, the first vice president of the CERH has launched a consultation with the other federations to see if it was possible to set another date.
The Chairman of the French Rink Hockey Committee, Dan Mortreux, said it was out of the question for the senior women to have a blank 2013 year as for their championship. He also underlined that this situation was not very professional. On the other hand, the change of date would incur additional costs for all federations involved.
