Scott Arlidge: two races before his retirement

Par alfathor

Scott Arlidge announced he would soon stop skating as a professional. The New Zealand skater was born in 1983. He started competing in 1989, at the age of 6 years. Since then, he has accumulated more than 50 national titles and numerous records in his home country. In 2000, he won the title of Junior World Champion in 1000 m.

At the age of 29, he is still competitive. He will participate in the marathon at the 2012 Inline Speed Skating World Championships in Italy. He also told us the 2012 Berlin Marathon race would be his last race. However, he might participate in some « leisure » competitions later.
Currently, Scott Arlidge works part-time at Powerslide. He is in charge of the speed-skating division for the German firm. Let’s wish him good luck for these last races and for the rest of his career!
