Roller-derby is being structured in Germany: a national championship and workshops should be held on 2013

On August 2012, representatives of nine German roller-derby leagues met Stuttgart to create a new roller-derby committee under the aegis of the German Federation of roller-skating.
Considerable preparatory work was done prior this meeting to structure practice and develop a true sports policy. Denise Kaufmann (Teaze The Tiger), which initiated this meeting, was elected president.
An official German championship should be held in 2013, as well as workshops for coaches and referees.
