Registration for the German Inline Cup 2012 started

The history of success from previous years will find its continuation. From April 1, 2012 the German Inline Cup will start in its fifth season and will again combine six German high-quality events.
The popular series has become a constant for many skaters in their season planing. More than 5,000 recreational skaters and the scene’s pros participated in the last year and experienced exciting competitions with lots of spectators and a thrilling final in Cologne.
Among others, the best three women and men in the overall ranking of the « fitness » category will be rewarded on stage in Cologne. Points for the overall ranking may be collected on diverse courses within entire Germany. Downtown courses in Berlin and Cologne, a challenging round course through Geisingen, and picturesque courses in suburban Frankfurt and along the Mittelrhein will offer attractivity for everyone and create tension in the overall ranking.
Category « speed » titleholders are Sabine Berg and Felix Rijhnen, in the « fitness » category the 2011 winners were Michaela Geppert and Jens Kaiser.
2012 online registration – a EUR 50.00 EOSkates voucher included
The online registration for the 2012 GIC season is opened as of now and costs EUR 207.00 for all six races including the K2 Cologne Skate Marathon.
A EUR 50.00 EOSkates voucher for the GIC partner’s online shop is included in the registration fee. This French brand located near Strasbourg is outrider as concerns lightweight carbon frames. In the season to come also world champion Yann Guyader and 2011 GIC overall runner-up, Giacomo Cuncu, will start with this new material. Excluded are the teams in the « speed » category only. There will be a separate registration soon, information will follow.
2012 GIC quick rules
- Two starting categories with a separate result list according to gross times: « speed » and « fitness » (allocation according to best times).
- Positionings 1 to 850 in each races will automatically receive points for the overall ranking – even without booking a season start. There will be one void result.
- A team scoring will only be offered for the « speed » category (special registration prior to registration deadline)
- The price money of every race is EUR 5,000.00.
