According to « The Associated Press » and USA « Today », the IOC will recommend 2 new sports for inclusion in the 2016 Olympic Games. 7 Sports who run for Olympic Games in August will know if they belong to that short list.
IOC President Jacques Rogge, said last Friday that the IOC executive board would review the nominations and propose 2 sports at a meeting to be held in Berlin on 13 August, at the Opening ceremony of the Athletics World Championships. 7 sports compete: baseball, golf, karate, rugby 7, the roller speed, softball and squash.
