Tip: Making your own skate mudguards

A little DIY skate improvement
Skate covers, even made of neoprene, end up waterlogged. You had better use them when the weather is cold. Here is a tip given by Antoine. He got it from Thierry who learned it from whoknowswho…: Making DIY mudguards!
Steps
Nothing easier
1) Take a plastic pocket, a pair of scissors and a cat (the cat is essential);
2) Delicately cut a flap of the pocket (avoid kitty’s paw);
3) You have then a plastic rectangle (and normally a kitty that is still in one piece);
4) The aim is to copy the shape below, which can be inserted into the frame without fixation needed. Make sure you do the little notches on the sides that will hold the rectangle to the frame, and the big middle tongue that is to be slipped into the frame.
Congratulations! Here you are with a wonderful DIY mudguard!
All you have to do is adjust it to suit the back of your frame…
In order to give it the shape of your wheel, you can delicately turn it down.
You’re done!
