Margaret Brook has been named president of the International Figure Skating Committee during the assembly of the CIPA in New-Zealand, on the occasion of the 2012 Figure skating World Championships.
Margaret Brooks was already President of the European Figure Skating Committee. Former high-level skater, she joined the International Committee in 1976.
Then, she became president of the European Figure Skating Committee. With this appointment to the highest level of a European personality, let’s hope that the voice of Europe will be heard at the highest level of the sport, especially at the IOC!
