In an official release from April 6th, 2016, the International Federation of Roller Sports announced the appointment of Mr Fernando Regueiro by president Sabatino Aracu to represent roller derby within the FIRS.
Fernando Regueiro is a member of the USARS, the USA Roller Sports association. He is also the the general manager of the Chicago Red Hots. He’s been actively working for several years to include roller derby into the Olympic Games. He even launched a petition for roller derby to be part of the X-Games (more about individual sports). As soon as 2012, he hoped to see roller derby enter the program of the 2017 World Games in Poland.
