Miks Zvejnieks

Hello, Miks, can you introduce yourself?

Miks ZvejnieksI’m a 22-year-old passionate guy, who enjoys living an active lifestyle. Right now, I’m on my 4th year of Law and Business studies at the university, and I’m concurrently striving for the best results in two amazing sports: Inline-Alpine slalom and alpine skiing.

How did you start skating?

I used to do inline-alpine skating as a good training for alpine skiing, and at first did not expect it to become my future passion. Before I’d have also practiced speed skating.

Why did you choose Inline-Alpine?

It’s similar to alpine skiing, in terms of adrenaline and speed.

Did you try other practices?

In the summer I’m fully focused on the Inline-Alpine World Cup season, and in the winter I’m concentrating on the alpine skiing season. When I was a kid, I used to practice golf, tennis and speed skating.

How did you get in touch with Powerslide?

After a successful previous inline alpine season, I started to search for some equipment and skate support. It turned out that, one month before the start of the inline season, Powerslide contacted me! I’d been skating with Powerslide equipment for many years already, so that it was not difficult to adapt.

Tell us a few words about your skates…

I use Powerslide C8 skates with 110mm frames. These skates feel the best for inline alpine slalom, they are stiff enough, stable and close fitted.

What are your goals for the 2017 World Roller Games in Nanjing (China)?

I’m looking forward to a great event and competition, since these are the first Roller Games ever. I will enjoy this event at 100%, hoping it to become a huge push for the future development of skating!

What are your projects for the future?

My goal is to work hard to achieve my best possible results in Inline-Alpine slalom, as well as in alpine skiing.
