Be-Mag n°31 – january 2009

For January, Be mag published a particularly exhaustive issue which is worth seeing at the level of the layout and of the quality of photos. On the occasion of the Ignition Wild East Tour 2008, the brand makes its team travel in the Eastern European countries: Jacob Juul, Dominic Wagner, Marc Moreno and Gabriel Hyden went through the capitals of Yugoslavia, Croatia…
Lots of spots and a maximum of grinds such as a Gabriel Hyden’s fishbrain or a mistrial negative from Marc Moreno on low wall in a downhill. These beautiful sessions together are related by Jojo Jacobi. To discover also in this new issue, the interview of Murda which is particularly nice thanks to the layout of the designer, Chris Edwards. Murda announces us its ambitions and its job of designer. His technique is not to be any more demonstrated, he works henceforth on his style of skating influenced by the Kelso brothers and Chris Cheshire. The competition is not what he looks for but rather to find these friends and to share good moments. Then, we come to Japan Tour: “All or Nothing 2008”. Numerous of riders sought their sponsors to travel and ride in Japan as Vinny Minton, Jeff Stockell and Tory Treseder. The Japanese riders are under the spotlights such as Soichiro. They will guide the Western riders throughout this tour : meetings and amazing spots. Some Magnificent photos illustrate this report: Jeff Stockwell’s back backslide. Two interviews closed this issue, those of Brian Shima and Austin Paz, who each from their part, make revelations on the next releases. Brian Shima reveals us whom new Nimh is in preparation with new colors, with new materials especially on the soulplate. A Nimh video is also in preparation. Austin Paz says to us a little more on the next release of the Truth 2 about it, eagerly awaited. Impressed by the quality of the videos of current roller-skaters, he reveals us his three favourite videos: “Brain Fear Gone”, “Hoax I and II”. If you did not see them, it is never too late!
