2012 K2 Cologne Skate Marathon: « Highway feeling » followed by stadium atmosphere!

Now it is time for the K2 Cologne Skate Marathon again! It will end this year’s skate season on October 14 and crown the German Inline Cup series with a thrilling final with the best skaters of the world.

The organization further worked on the optimization and made Germany’s second fastest skate marathon course from 2011 even faster! The motto is: « Highway feeling » followed by stadium atmosphere! You will speed the first 22 kilometers non-stop over wide, partially three-lane streets with best asphalt and only six real curves along the river Rhine. The second half will lead you through downtown Cologne and its bustling neighborhoods with hundreds of thousands of spectators in espaliers along the course. The highlight will again be the Rudolfplatz with the K2 Mile which you will pass three times. This will let your hearts beat faster!

Two u-turns will be fully omitted, three refreshment stations will not be in the vicinity of curves any longer and the finish line will be relocated where it was prior to 2010 – prior to the 90° curve in front of the underbridge. Further, spectators may cheer for you at the last meters in front of the finish line on both sides of the course!

This Friday, September 21, 2012, we will close the registration for our race. You will be to pay EUR 55.00 per person only until then. The fee will increase for late entries. Therefore, please save your bib number for October 14 right now!
