Lots of longue distance and speed-skaters dreamed about it for many years, some of them try to concretize it: a roller-skating Tour de France! The event is set up at instigation of Nicolas Grafeille and Yves-Alain Enndewell.
The skaters will dash for a dozen stages from 25 to 155 km all around the country from 8th to 23rd August 2009. These differences of length between the different stages can be explained by the uphills (the Deux Alpes, the Galibier, the Alpe d’Huez). The transition between the stages will be made with a car. The number of skaters is limited to 20 for security reasons and authorizations. More info: Web Site of the Event
