3 Tracks 2013: Yann Guyader, seven times in a row!

Summary of the 27th edition of the 3 Tracks

Final sprint of the elimination race in Valence d'Agen

The 27th edition of the International 3 Tracks Trophy was held from March 30th to April 2013, 1st in Pibrac, Valence d’Agen and Gujan-Mestras (Southern France). Nearly 850 skaters from all around the world came to participate in races on the track and on the road.
Due to difficult weather conditions, most races had to be canceled on the track of Pibrac and the organizers had to move on the road circuit of Gujan Mestras for Trophy final.
However, the 2013 edition was marked by impressive races worthy of the biggest international competitions: the skirmish between Yann Guyader (EOSkates), Alexis Contin (Bont) and Nolan Beddiaf (EO Skates) in the sprint of the elimination race on the track of Valence d’Agen will remain in memories …

Senior men

It was written: Yann Guyader (EOSkates) would win his seventh success at the 3 Tracks and equal the performance of Arnaud Gicquel, another legend of the inline speed-skating. Well supported by the whole EOSkates armada, the French made ??a near-perfect copy. Yann has won three of the four races in Valence d’Agen and Gujan Mestras, showing a good mastery of his opponents.
Icing on the cake, his teammate Nolan Beddiaf (EOSkates) mounted on the third step of the podium: the 2013 season is starting well for EOSkates!
Alexis Contin (Bont) came alone to the Three tracks. A fight between David and Goliath. He showed impressive skills, especially in the last race of the weekend, working in partnership with Windress skaters to get the victory. His second place is well deserved.
The Colombian Pedro Causil (Patinaje Envigado-Paen Canarian) was not so far from the podium too… He finished fourth in the two races of Valence d’Agen before taking the second place in the first race of Gujan-Mestras. He took the 8th place in the final 5000m and finished 3 points behind Nolan Beddiaf (EOSkates).
Special mention to Patxi Cabello (EOSkates) who did a perfect teammate job. The Basque skater finished 5th of the overall ranking. He has shown a great sense of the collective and a great ability to accelerate.

Final sprint in the last race of the weekend on the wet road of Gujan Mestras

Senior women

The Colombian Carolina Upegui Quevedo (Envigado Patinaje-Paen) took the lead of the Women’s ranking. A narrow victory ahead of the German Sabine Berg (RSV Blau Weiss Gera) and the Venezuelan Sindy Cortez (Guyader Team).
The elite women’s category was marked by the rise of the German skater Sabine Berg (RSV Blau Weiss Gera). The Colombian Carolina Upegui Quevedo (Envigado Patinaje Canarian-Paen) won the first two races on the track of Valence d’Agen… but she had to contain the assaults of the German skater in Gujan-Mestras. A single point separates the two skaters! More confident on the wet road, Sabine Berg managed to win the two last races on the road circuit of Gujan Mestras.
The Venezuelan Sindy Cortez (Guyader Team). She was constant over the races and logically took the third place.
Juliette Pouydebat (EOSkates), Sheila Posada Guerra (Patin Pelayo) and Deborah Marchand (ALC Bouguenais) were separated by only 3 points. The battle was fierce next to the podium!
