Despite an important lack of structure, New Zealand revealed several renowned world champions such as Dobbin brothers, Scott Arlidge, Nicole Begg and more recently Peter Michael. The Kiwis also finished 7th in the medal ranking at the 2012 inline speed-skating World Championships in Italy.
